Итак, вот ответы. Ответы даны в порядке номеров вопросов (оригинальный ответ и мой перевод)

1. Ability to redirect the user after exceeding his quote to the webpage saying something like ”sorry, your quote is exceeded”.

Ответ:I am aware of this requirement. We currently don’t have any immediate plans for a feature like this but that could change anytime.


Я в курсе этого требования. На данный момент незамедлительного исправления не ожидается, но в принципе это, возможно, будет изменено.


2. Extend Webadmin functions: ability to register new users through webadmin

Ответ:We are working on it. A more mature web administration interface is currently under development.

3. Ability to authenticate users based on their IP and MC address. Why this is not implemented? Highly requested by the users. They also want to be able to select how to authenticate a users (using his login/IP or IP/MAC). This feature is implemented in KWF competitor, a russian software named Usergate.

Ответ: You can currently authenticate users based on their IP addresses. Each user may be assigned one or more IP addresses. A MAC address filter of some sort will be in one of the future versions.


На данный момент можно аутентифицировать пользователей по используемым IP адресам. Каждому пользователю можно назначить несколько IP адресов. Фильтрация по MAC адресам в определнном виде будет включена одну из будущих версий kwf.


4. Ability to start the vpn client as service or with user privileges (disable user to perform the connection shutdown, hide GUI etc). This ability is requested to authenticate domains users remotely through a secure channel.

Ответ:The next major version of the VPN client will have this functionality.

Ближайшая версия будет включать в себя данный функционал vpn.


5. Allow bandwidth limiter to work in ”a more flexible way”: limit bandwidth to a given user and not to a service or a long download. They want to give any user the quote to download only 5 MB of a protocol (SMTP, HTTP, HTTPS) daily, weekly etc.

Ответ:These are two things – bandwidth management and quota. We want to extend the possibilities of the bandwidth management in one of the next major releases but there are currently no plans to change the quotas significantly. But again, that could change anytime.


Cуществует два момента: ограничитель скорости и квоты. Мы хотим расширить возможности управления пропускной полосой в одном из релизов новой версии продукта, но на данный момент нет планов значительно изменить принцип квотирования. Но, повторюсь, в любой момент мы сможем это поменять.


6. Could you please give a detailed answer about plans to provide VPN client on linux? What are the plans about KWF on linux?

Ответ:There will be a Mac OS X version and probably also (I cannot guarantee that now, though) a version for Ubuntu Linux quite soon. The Linux version will not be officially supported but for a skilled Linux user, it should be usable.

9. Ability to specify an additional ip-address in the vpn tunnel settings in order to avoid the downtime in case the main connection doesn`t work.

Ответ:I am aware of that request. The possibilities are currently under consideration but there aren’t yet any concrete plans.

10.Have you had an idea to provide vlans by means of kwf?

Ответ:The current WinRoute architecture depends on the network configuration of the underlying operating system. We do support VLANs if there is a support in the NIC driver. WinRoute would then see each VLAN as a separate interface.

Существующая архитектура WinRoute зависит от сетевой конфигурации операционной системы. Мы сможем поддерживать vlan`ы, если они поддерживаются драйвером NIC. В таком случае WinRoute будет рассматривать каждый vlan как отдельный интерфейс.




11. The ordinary user assigned with the rights access statistics can see the information about all users. Is it possible to make user able to see only his statistics?

Ответ:We have a request for this and also for group views. However, it is currently not planned to any of the near upcoming major releases.

Мы уже получали это сообщение и для просмотра статистики групп. Тем не менее сейчас исправление этого не планируется, равно как и в ближайших релизах версий.


12. Ability to create the settings Export / Import feature in kwf. Ability to chose which data should be imported / exported (http rules, traffic policy, address groups, URL groups, forbidden words, statistics, certificate)

Ответ: A feature like this is currently under development.

Данный функционал находится в стадии разработки.


13. Use customs routes for vpn server. In vpn tunnel properties on the ”advanced” tab there is a way how the routes are provided (3 options to select from).
Is it possible to have this option in vpn server properties?

Ответ: We are now reworking the VPN server for the next major release. So we will consider this suggestion.
